Agreement for Rukus

1. Event Details

• Event Name: RUKUS Dance Competition
• Event Location: Beban Park, Nanaimo, BC.
• Event Date: March 14-16 2025

2. Payment Terms

• Discrepancies: Any discrepancies in the invoice must be reported within 14 days to ensure accurate adjustments.
• Late Payments: Late payments will incur a late fee of [Late Fee] per day until the full amount is settled.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to participant withdrawal or disqualification.
• In the case of event cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, the Organizer will make all reasonable efforts to reschedule the Event or provide alternate arrangements. However, no refunds will be issued.

4. Liability Waiver

• The Organizer will make reasonable efforts to ensure the safety of all participants during the Event. However, the Organizer shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, or theft incurred before, during, or after the Event.
• Participants are responsible for their own belongings and personal safety.

5. Act of God Clause

• The Organizer shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to a Force Majeure Event, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events. The Organizer will notify the Participant promptly of any such event and will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or modify the Event. However, the Organizer is not obligated to do so, and failure to do so will not constitute a breach. No refunds will be issued, and the Participant’s sole remedy shall be rescheduling or credit for future events.

6. Media Release

• By participating in the Event, the Participant consents to being photographed, videotaped, or recorded by the Organizer or its representatives. These materials may be used for promotional, educational, or other lawful purposes by the Organizer.
• Participants may use event-related photos or videos for personal use but may not use them for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the Organizer.

7. Code of Conduct

• The Participant agrees to maintain respectful and appropriate behavior throughout the Event. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the Event.

8. Safety and Inclusivity

• The Organizer is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, staff, and attendees. While every effort will be made to ensure safety during the Event, the Organizer is not responsible for disputes, issues, or incidents occurring outside the Event venue.

9. Indemnification

• The Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer, it’s staff and affiliates from any claims, damages or liabilities arising from participation in the Event.
